Founded in 1665 by Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, the city of Anandpur Sahib is located in the Rupnagar district of Punjab. Better known as the ‘Holy City of Bliss’, among the religious sites in India, Anandpur Sahib is one of the most sacred and important places in Sikhism and is nestled near the Himalayas. This city in India is also nicknamed Chakk Nanaki, after Guru Tegh Bahadur’s mother Nanaki, and came to be known as Anandpur Sahib only a while later. Every year on Hola Mohalla (the festival of Holi) the city springs to life in celebration. More than a million Travellers in India as devotees come from across the country and around the world to visit Anandpur Sahib for the festivities and fairs. It was Guru Gobind Singh Ji who initiated this festival of fun and frolic at Holi. His intentions were also to project and showcase the martial spirit of Sikh folk in India and also gave it a masculine touch by naming this festival in India, Hola Mohalla. Some of the main landmarks in Anandpur Sahib include the Gurudwara Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, the birthplace of Khalsa, and the Gurudwara Sisganj Sahib. Anandpur Sahib is the oldest structure among India religious sites of the Sikhs. As a religious tour in India this is one city of sanctity and spirituality. After Breakfast Leave drive to Manikaran Sahib enrout Sundernagar and Mandi. Arrive Manikaran Sahib night stay at Hotel.

Manikaran Sahib

Full day at Manikaran Sahib. The Manikaran Gurudwara or Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurudwara is commemorated to the visit of Guru Nanak Dev to this place. It is mentioned in the Janam Sakhi or the 'Twarikh Guru Khalsa' by Giani Gian Singh. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Amritsar

After breakfast visit to Golden Temple, The Harimandir Sahib (meaning Temple of God) is also commonly known as the Golden Temple or Darbar Sahib (Divine Court). It is situated in the city of Amritsar in Punjab. The Golden Temple is a living symbol of the spiritual and historical traditions of the Sikhs. It is a source of inspiration for all Sikhs and their chief place of pilgrimage. Evening visit Wagah Border which is famous for its 'Retreat' ceremony at the time of sunset. During evening armed soldiers, both Indian as well as Pakistani, fully decked in their uniform enacts a particularly hostile parade marked by lowering of their respective flags and closing the border gates. The changing of the guards and the ceremonial lowering of the flags is carried out with great pomp and fervor. Overnight stay at Hotel.

#6 Day

Amritsar

After breakfast visit Jalianwala Bagh which is just the walking distance from the Golden Temple. Jalianwala has a special importance attached to it with respect to India's freedom struggle On April 13, 1919 on the aucpicious day of Baisakhi hundreds of men,women and chidren sacrificed their lives in front of ruthless firing of the british forces. Afternoon visit to Tarn Taran 24 Kms south of Amritsar. Founded by the 5th Prophet Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji the impressive Gurudwara with gold plated dome has a holy pool. The guru used to run a leper's home here. End of Tour drop to Railway station / Airport.
