Mysore city in Karnataka has been and is a great attraction for tourist. It is better known as a Palace City of India and the statistics claim it has more visitors coming here, even compared to the Red Fort or the Qutub Minar. It has amply planned and maintained green patches like Brindavan Gardens, Butterfly parks, Happy Man Park, to name some. Of the many museums here, you should visit the Wax Museum- Melody world that was established in 2010. This museum houses 100 wax life size statues and about 300 musical instruments, dating from Stone age to Modern times. Here bands that are displayed are of Punjabi Bhangra, South Indian, Rock, Jazz, Middle East and of course North and South Indian Classical. Wayanad is a place that promotes a lot of adventure tourism. Tourist trek the Chembra peak and make it a point to stay at the peak top, in temporary camps. Viewing Wayanad from the top of Chambra is an exhilarating experience. Waterfalls like Sentinel Rock Waterfalls, Kanthanpara Waterfalls and Soochippara Waterfalls make perfect picnic spots. Make you way to Edakkal Cave which in fact is a fissure in the rock created due to some natural reasons. It is a sort of a cleft created that has a depth of 30 ft. When you enter in, you will find some absorbing carvings representing animal, human figures and symbols and this proves the high civilized standard of the people during even the pre-historic age. This has prompted historians and archaeologists to rewrite the history of Wayanad.
