Bibi Ka Maqbara

Bibi Ka Maqbara is located around 5 km away from main Aurangabad. Prince Azam Shah, son of Aurangzeb built this maqbara in the year 1678 in the memory of his beloved mother Begum Rabia Durani. The cost of building this monument was around 665,283 INR and 7 Annas. It is precisely inscribed on the walls of the tomb. Bibi Ka Maqbara has around 4 beautiful towering minarets similar to the Taj. A lattice screen shaped as an octagon is made from pristine white marble circumscribes raised colonnade supporting the grave of Rabia Daurani within the tomb. Red stone is used to build the tips of pillars. The beautiful reflection of monument becomes more beautiful when it falls on the water.
