Harendra Singh

@Travel Guide, From New Delhi, Delhi
Since 19th Apr 2016

I was born in Bharatpur, a town that is home to a large bird sanctuary. My house is at the edge of the National park and, I can’t think of a time in my life that I have not been a nature lover. Started off guiding in the Keoladeo National park , bharatpur as a youngster. Since then, I have worked and travelled around to various National Parks around India. Was selected by CC Africa to undergo an intensive Naturalist/guide training programme and spent 3 years working as a naturalist in Bandhavgarh , Kanha and Pench National Parks, explaining the flora/fauna, tracking tigers and explaining the mysteries of the Indian jungle. I am immensely interested in Indian history and love the cultural heritage and diversity. So, I was fortunate to be selected by the Ministry of Tourism (Govt. Of India) to be trained as a cultural guide for the northern region of India. Now I am a licensed cultural guide as well as a trained naturalist in the jungles. In this capacity I have been leading groups across the country to heartwarming feedback from visitors. On the personal front, my siblings are married in different parts of the world and I live with my parents. I’m fond of reading and dabble in photography.
